We are the West Kent Walking Group. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
A figure of eight, 7.5 or 11 mile walk to the Annual Remembrance Day Service at the Airman's Grave in the Ashdown Forest.
We start at 9.15 prompt from Bushy Willows Carpark and then head up to Friends Clump via the woods and streams at Old Lodge. We then descend down towards the Airman's Grave for the short service at 11 am. where we will be laying a wreath on behalf of the group.
After the service we then head back uphill to Nutley Windmill and along the ridge to Camp Hill and back for lunch at Bushy Willows.
Our second leg takes us on an undulating path to the AA Milne Memorial with fine views over the Forest. We return to the start via Greenwood Gate Clump.
