Overview

Starting from the Marina we make our way through the village of Barton-under-Needwood, across fields to Dunstall church and Dunstall Deer Park. We are a little late in the year but we may be lucky to catch the end of the red deer rutting season. We then head along tracks and fields towards Branston Water Park, with its many water fowl, before joining a section of the Trent & Mersey canal. A stretch of woodland and fields takes us back to our starting point.

There are around five stiles and a couple of very gentle climbs near the beginning of the walk. We will take a couple of breaks during the walk, so please bring your own refreshments.
