Overview

We weave our way through Pimlico and Chelsea calling at the National Army Museum for refreshments and toilets before crossing Albert Bridge and into Battersea Park. The park is a large (200 acre) Victorian Park built between 1854 and 1870 with many features which we will see as we walk around it. From Battersea Park we will walk along the riverside to Battersea Power Station crossing over the end of Chelsea bridge. This has been repurposed in the last couple of years from a Victorian power station to a hub of luxury shops, dining and entertainment, but keeping some of the old power station features. Bring a picnic lunch to eat on the deckchairs outside the front of the power station.

The walk is all on good paths. We will catch a London bus back to Victoria for the journey back to Slough.
