The walk starts at the CP following the stream on the left up to a short, steep lane as we head across country to Robin Hill. From there it's up onto Wicken Stones on the Moor, passing a prominent communication tower, down to Rock End.We then drop down into Knypersley Park and join a reservoir path for about a mile before we climb out of the Park up to Knypersley itself where we join a disused railway line, for 2 miles, for the final leg of the journey back to the CP. Only a few stiles and paths are mostly in good condition, though muddy in some sections, so gaiters advised with leather boots.
The CP is reached by following good signs on the A527. In Biddulph you will pass a landmark church on your right. Turn right after this and you will come to signed entrance to Biddulph National Trust. Pass this entrance and take the next right turn. The free CP is immediately on your right. Toilets are available near to CP.
