Overview

From Bishops Cannings, the walk descends to the Kennet and Avon canal. We walk along this quiet secluded stretch of the waterway for around 4 miles before leaving the tow path at Allington and ascending steeply on the White Horse Trail to the Wansdyke path. There we will be greeted by far reaching views including ancient strip lynchets and earthworks.

Everyone is welcome. If you would like to join this walk, please notify the walk leader (Liz P 07768621058)

If you would like to car share, please let the walk leader know when you book and we will hopefully be able to facilitate this. Parking space is limited.

There will be two stops during the day for coffee and lunch (please bring a picnic)
