A leisurely circular walk rich in woods, wetlands and wildlife.
Important Note: Pre-booking required by latest 7pm the day before. If you want the pub let the leaders know several days prior.
Meet at the free car park at Horseshoe Lake Activity Centre where we walk off at 10.00. Our walk takes in the undulating Finchampstead Ridges, where we have an early al-fresco coffee break, and continues through pretty wooded rural landscape to a pub lunch at the Queens Oak, Finchampstead, or picnic on the green adjacent. The afternoon leg returns along the wooded and shady banks of the Blackwater with ponds, lakes and waterfowl.
