This will be a 7.5 mile circular walk starting at the Bugle Car Park in Brading. The route will take us past Bembridge Windmill, Bembridge Lagoon, across the St Helens Harbour wall to the Duver and back along the old Brading to St Helens track.
There will be three very small sections of road walking, one of which can be very busy. There is one stile just as we approach Bembridge Windmill.
There is car parking available at the Brading Car Park, at the Ryde end of the town.
The numbers 2 & 3 buses serve Brading approx every 15 mins, with a bus stops at Brading Church or at the Bull Ring (both are about same distance from the Bugle).
Toilets are available at the beginning/end and at around the halfway point in Bembridge.
You should bring a picnic lunch.
Depending on the weather, consider suitable clothing, footwear, walking pole(s), sun cream, drinks, and food. Watch out for ticks and remove ASAP. If you are unsure about your ability to undertake this walk, please contact the walks leader. If you need to leave the walking group, please ensure you inform the leader or back marker
