Overview

This is well loved area for walking with easily accessible paths through heathland and along the Basingstoke Canal.  There is just one hill to negotiate.

We will have a short drink/snack stop during the walk and at the end of the walk (around 09:30am) we can enjoy a hearty (or slightly less hearty) breakfast at the Mytchett Canal Centre Cafe.  Their offerings include a range of 5 different English Breakfasts, with a price range of between £6.20 - £9.80.  There are also 2 vegetarian option choices, plus I am sure there will be other lighter bites for the more health conscious!
