There will be a 5 mile walk, crossing the Racecourse and then the Golf Course before finishing up at the Old Mill Inn, which has a garden backing onto the River Nedder. For those in the party wanting a shorter walk there is a footpath from the city centre to the Old Mill, which takes approximately 30 minutes. Salisbury is famous for its Cathedral and is a must see. Also, there is a house once owned by Edward Heath called Arundells, which is highly recommended, although it may be best to book in advance. It is situated near the cathedral and entry is £10 (HHA members free).
The coach will leave from the Farnham Leisure Centre at 09:00 am. Long term parking is available at the nearby Riverside Car Park (10 hours £5.60 or 10.5 hours £6.70). When we arrive in Salisbury we will be dropped off at the Coach Park in the centre of the city. After the walk lunch will be at the Old Mill (see their Bar Snack Menu, including bar meals https://oldmillsalisbury.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2024/01/Bar-Snack-Menu-1.pdf), or please bring your own picnic lunch if you prefer. The return coach will then leave at 16.30 pm from the Coach Park, returning to Farnham at approximately 18:00.
