Meet and park at the car park by the Knot Inn in Rushton Spencer.
We climb out of Rushton Spencer along quiet lanes and pastures, stopping at Bridestone for a break and then heading towards the Cloud with panoramic views westwards. We follow the Staffordshire Way and a disused railway track back to the start.
There is a steep ascent at the start of the walk along a lane and some undulating ground. Walking poles are recommended. There are approximately 14 stiles. This is not a difficult route for regular walkers.
