Overview

An annual challenge walk over the five highest peaks in Cheshire. Starting from the visitor centre at Teggs Nose, this demanding route takes in Shutlingsloe, Shining Tor, Charles Head and Kerridge Hill. On the way will be Wildboarclough, the Cat & Fiddle, Cat's Tor and White Nancy, so most of the highlights of East Cheshire are included.

The route is based on a walk listed on the East Cheshire Ramblers site and was revived in 2021 by five walkers from Stoke Newcastle.

In 2023 there were six walkers from several Ramblers groups who braved the rain and completed the walk - let's hope the weather is better this time! Walkers from any Ramblers group will be welcomed, so if your usual programme of walks is not challenging enough, give this one a go!
