Overview

This walk starts walking through Mendip Lodge Wood, across open downland, past Batts Combe Quarry and on towards the outskirts of Cheddar for lunch.

On the way back we will initially follow Cliff Road along the bottom of the Gorge and then on to Black Rock before turning back towards Burrington.

Along the way we will see limestone outcrops and great views over the Bristol Channel.

Do bring sturdy walking boots as the ground varies along the route.

Walking sticks are recommended if you have them. 

Parts of the walk are exposed to the elements so bring warm & waterproof clothing.
