Overview

A circular evening walk from Whitchurch up to Maes Knoll, the great Iron Age hill fort on the Dundry ridge. From Maes Knoll, there are magnificent views to the north across the city and to the south over the Chew Valley. The route then descends on the south side of the hill to Norton Malreward, one of those rural villages so near to Bristol. Then a walk through farmland to the outskirts of Whitchurch village and back to the start. Buses to the start: M1.
