Overview

Like life in general this walk has its flat parts and its ups and downs. From Cambridge Batch we will walk up towards Barrow Gurney, then down to the outskirts of Long Ashton, then up along the Monarchs Way to Yanley farm, and then down towards Long Ashton church where we will have lunch in the churchyard. The Angel pub is along the road for drinks. The morning is about 6 miles.

The afternoon is shorter (about 3 miles). We go up a hill to Long Ashton golf course, and then back to Cambridge Batch while overlooking Gatcombe Farm.

It is possible to do just the morning or afternoon as buses to and from Bristol pass in front of the Angel pub
