The meeting point is the Ringwood Road Car Park, Fordingbridge, next to the junction of the A338 and the B3078. Parking charge is £8 for all day, payment by cash or RingGo (Location 2550) - share cars to reduce the cost. From there the party will cross the road to take the bus to a stop near Charlton All Saints, £2 or bus pass. The route is then a steady climb onto the Downs to the west with views of Clearbury Ring Hill Fort. Turning south the route crosses Wick Down at 114 metres before descending to Breamore House. Lunch will be taken at the Pantry Barn, or picnic if you prefer, before continuing across the Common to Breamore to pick up a section of the former railway line at the former station. The final section is through Lower Burgate and Ashford to Fordingbridge town centre and across the Avon to the car park.
