Overview

The Hangers Way is a 21 mile trail that runs from Alton to Queen Elizabeth Country Park. This walk follows the section from Selborne to Hawkley, via Noar Hill. There are many splendid views, sunken lanes and woodland paths where we should see plenty of wild garlic and bluebells. If the weather is bright and sunny we may take a short detour onto Noar Hill to look for butterflies and early orchids.

There is one steep descent, some more gentle upward inclines and plenty of flat sections. There are several stiles along the route.

At the end of the walk there should be an opportunity to visit the cafe at Gilbert White’s house.
