Weather permitting a walk with fine distant views. After a gentle climb over Gosling & Hannah Moors to Chase Lodge we cross The Chase to return along Wharncliffe Crags. Across the Don Valley Moor Hall & Broomhead reservoirs can be seen & in the far distance, beyond Deepcar & Stocksbridge, the Pennines and Woodhead Pass are visible.
The path over the crags is rocky & sections through the woods can be muddy after heavy rain. There are no toilets facilities on route.

Cote Green TPT car park, (free), Finkle Street Lane, Wortley. Postcode isn't very accurate, suggest you set satnav for Wortley Wagyu. The lane up to the carpark is to the right of the lane to Wortley Wagyu which is signposted on Finkle Street Lane.
