Overview

This is a linear walk which will include the whole length of the Centurion Way from West Dean to Bishops Luffa School. Please be ready to leave the car park by 9:45 at the latest.

The walk will start from the Northgate car park at the end of the car park next to the Chichester Festival Theatre where we will walk the short distance to the bus stop outside the Bell Inn to catch the No 60 bus towards Midhurst at 9:53 for the 12 minute journey to the stop at West Dean opposite the Selsey Arms where we will join the start of the Centurion Way towards Chichester. The walk is fairly level, mainly mud free with only slight inclines and mainly follows a section of the disused Chichester to Midhurst railway line. There will be a short coffee break before we reach Lavant. We will need to prepare to meet the centurions  on the next section of the walk.
