We are the Mid Wiltshire Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
The walk starts by passing through a wood and crossing the River Kennet. A short section of road leads to a footpath uphill, towards Hungerford, with good views of the town. After crossing the busy A4, the path crosses the River Dun and leads to the Kennet and Avon Canal. After a short section along the canal, the route heads uphill and back to Chilton Foliat. The shorter walk leads back to the village, with the longer walk following a quiet lane and then across Chilton Estate, before returning to the start.
