Overview

From Quemerford Gate, we pass Theobold’s Green, to the edge of Calstone and then walk along a short section of Ranscombe Bottom.  A beautiful ridge path then takes up to the White Horse and the monument.  We walk around the edge of Oldbury hill fort and then descend carefully to Cherhill and return to Quemerford Gate.  The walk uses mainly footpaths and tracks and a quiet village street in Cherhill.

Expect stiles and some mud.  Sticks may also be useful.  There may be livestock enroute.  Bring refreshments for one stop.  We will be back for lunch.
