Overview

Essex Way walk 2. Beginning in Chipping Ongar, we will initially walk to Toots Hill to pick up the next part of the Essex Way. We pass through Greenstead which is famous for its Saxon Church, be;ieved to be the oldest wooden church in the world, about 645AD. Circling back to Chipping Ongar for a packed lunch. After lunch we continue on the Essex Way and back to Chipping Ongar via Three Forests Way. Essex Way covered will be approx 5.5 miles.
