Wednesday's Christmas Pie Walk starts from the Fox and Hounds car park, off the A386 outside Bridestowe and will take us on a 5.5 mile trip up to Bra Tor and back. Once through Nodden gate we will cross the fields and then the bridge to take the track out to Doe Tor farm. Then its around Doe Tor, past Wheal Frederick mine to arrive up at Brat Tor by the back door!. Hopefully panoramic views will be enjoyed before we head back down to cross the river by bridge or ford depending upon the weather.
Stoney tracks, moorland paths with a gentle ascent overall but a steep downhill. Stream crossing of Doe Tor brook and possible at Nodden Ford. Bad weather may mean slight route diversions to avoid the mud.
