This walk is an old favourite and never disappoints. We shall be starting at The Horsehoe Pub in Sywell Village and walking to the picturesque village of Mears Ashby. From there we shall be making our way to Sywell Country Park, doing a circuit of the reservoir before taking a break at the cafe and heading back to Sywell.
We shall be walking across fields and meadows to the lovely little village of Mears Ashby. If the church is open we can have a look at their famous doom painting over the chancel. There will be spectacular views across the reservoir as we approach Sywell Country Park.
We shall be walking on established paths with limited elevation, no livestock and only a couple of small stiles. Parking is available at The Horseshoe pub if you are planning on going for a drink or meal after the walk. Otherwise there is ample on road parking.
