This is a moderate 8 mile walk starting from Silverhill Wood Country Park. We walk along the Teversal Track, through Pleasley Country Park, then Skegby Track and Link Track. We visit the highest point in Nottinghamshire and will see a bronze statue of a miner and 3 old railway tracks.
Please contact the Leader to let them know that you are coming on the walk. Please leave your name, contact telephone number and email address. Please also state whether you intend going to the designated meeting place or directly to the start of the walk. This will help ensure that you are not left behind. This should not be regarded as “booking a place on the walk.”
If you later find that you cannot come on the walk, please notify the Leader as soon as possible in order that the group is not waiting for you to arrive on the day.
There will be refreshment stops, and a lunch-time break, so bring some food and drink.
Looking forward to your company on this delightful walk in a pleasant area.
