We are the Southwell Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.

This is a moderate 10 mile walk starting in Bradgate Country Park and visiting Beacon Hill, Broombriggs Farm Country Parks and Swithland Wood. We will see ancient Roman and medieval slate quarries and the second highest peak in Leicestershire.
Please contact the Leader to let them know that you are coming on the walk. Please leave your name, contact telephone number and email address. Please also state whether you intend going to the designated meeting place or directly to the start of the walk. This will help ensure that you are not left behind. This should not be regarded as "booking a place".
If you later find that you cannot come on the walk,please notify the Leader as soon as possible in order that the group is not waiting for you to arrive on the day.
There will be a refreshment stop and a lunch break, so bring a drink, snack and packed lunch.
