We are the Southwell Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
This is a 7 mile moderate walk from Gotham Parish Church visiting Thrumpton, Trent and Barton and passing Thrumpton Hall gatehouse. One point to be aware of is a very steep section through Gotham Wood, which could be particularly difficult if wet.
Please contact the Leader to let them know that you are coming on the walk. Please leave your name, contact telephone number and email address. Please also state whether you intend going to the designated meeting place or directly to the start of the walk. This will help ensure that you are not left behind. This should not be regarded as "booking a place".
If you later find that you cannot come on the walk,please notify the Leader as soon as possible in order that the group is not waiting for you to arrive on the day.
There will be a refreshment stop and a lunch break, so bring a drink, snack and packed lunch.
