Overview

West Mendip Walkers moderate 10 mile circular walk from Compton Dando (BS39 4JZ) around the villages of Marksbury, Stanton Prior and Burnett. The walk includes Pendown Hill (168m) with far reaching views, and the Iron Age hillfort of Stantonbury Hill (178m). Mainly fields and byways with a couple of short stretches of quiet lane walking and 3 busy road crossings, including 20m on verge along B3116.
