Starting from the National Trust Car Park just to the north of Corfe Castle the walk will follow the Poole Harbour Trail across the Swanage Railway through Norden Common, New Mills Heath, Hartland Moor, across the Corfe River. Then on through Wytch Farm and Rempstone Heath, passing a series of farms and finally through Studland Heath with fine views across Poole Harbour. On reaching the Sandbanks Ferry at Shell Bay a bus will be taken to Swanage and another on to Corfe. A rich variety of landscapes and some amazing views with the Purbeck Hills on one side and Poole Harbour on the other. Bring drink and food as no facilities en route.
If you have a member of the National Trust in your car you can park for free at the their visitor centre at the start of the walk. If not then you cannot use the car park as stays are limited to 4 hours for non-members; so go just beyond it (going south) and see if you can park in the road to the right. If not, then use the Norden Car Park (£4) taking the road off to the left at the roundabout just before reaching the NT visitor centre going south. A map will be provided when booking to show how to walk to join the party.
