Overview

Starting from Saddle Tor carpark we walk across the moor to the old tramway below Holwell Tor, where we descend to Becka brook.  The climb up to Greator Rocks is fairly gentle but narrow (we will stop for a coffee break here), whereas the descent to cross Becka brook again is steep on a fairly rocky path.

Avoiding a steep climb up to Smallacombe Rocks we head towards Black Hill so the ascent is steady and gentler. There are distinct paths from here back to the carpark which keep us on a reasonable level without the ups and downs of earlier!

Bluebells are usually in bloom on part of this walk in late April and hopefully we shall see some.
