Overview

Our final walk of the Dartmoor Way is a linear walk. Please book with Janice by 13th July so that transport can be co ordinated. Some cars to be parked at Kingsbridge Lane car park at Ashburton by 9.30am and some at Reddaford Water by 10am

Our rote takes us past Yarner Wood along the Haytor Granite Way Tramway to Haytor Rocks, then crossing the river Lemon and past Bagtor Mill. We pass through the wooded valley of the river Ashburn, finishing in Ashburton, the largest town within the DNP. Open moorland walking with some quiet lanes and far reaching views on a clear day. 1700ft of ascent.

This will be a long day and the pace will be slow moderate. Please come prepared with plenty of food and drink.
