Train based walk
Leader: Chris M (Joining train at Heaton Chapel)
Meet Point: Near the ticket barriers, or on the platform at Piccadilly Station. Alternatively, meet the group on the train, or at the Walk Start at Disley station.
Transport to Walk Start: 11:51 train from Manchester Piccadilly (final destination Buxton).
Suggested Ticket: Disley Off Peak Return £8.30 (may be cheaper to buy 2 singles)
Walk Start: Disley Railway Station at 12:30
Waypoints: Green Lane, Bollinhurst Bridge, East Lodge, Gritstone Trail, Lyme Hall, The Cage, North Cheshire Way, Red Lane

Extra: Please use the toilet on the train. No toilets at walk start. Toilets en route at Lyme Park, where you can also buy take away coffee. Due to the later start, there will be no lunch break on this walk. Optional drinks at the end of the walk . Please do not bring your dog (apart from assistance dogs).:
As well as walking through the picturesque Lyme Park with the occasional glimpse of deer, there are great views from The Cage.
The route largely follows good paths, with little mud, but as there are moderate climbs, a good level of fitness is required.
