The Stiperstones is a distinctive Shropshire hill, where the quartzite rock of the ridge was formed some 480 million years ago.
This circular walks starts on the edge of Eastridge Wood and takes us past land marks such as Blakemoorgate Cottages, the Devils Chair and Shepards Rock and onto the summit of the Stiperstones, where on a clear day the views are as good as it gets.
Many of the paths and tracks are firm and in good order, however, for a short period either side of the summit the clearly defined Cross Britain Way is a little rocky and uneven.
The overall rating for the walk is Moderate, however, there are some uphill sections, particularly at the start where elevation is gained, however, in the main these are on good firm paths.
