Overview

A Summer meander along the Eastern side of the Severn Valley. This route starts from the Dudmaston Estate Comer Woods National Trust carpark (£5.00 for non-members, members free). Goes along the quiet country lanes to the Village of Quatt. Descends to the the River Severn at Hampton Loade, where we will picnic on the banks of the Severn, watching the steam engines pass on the opposite bank, along the Severn Valley Railway. We will then ascend to the Dudmaston Big Pool and return to the start point.

This is a suitable walk for all active abilities and has only moderate ascent. A superb walk on the banks of the Severn with stunning views across Shropshire.
