A really pretty circular walk, first created by one of our members, taking in wooded and rural landscape with spring flowers, ponds and some noteworthy historic sites.
Meet ready for a 10:00 walk off at Effingham Junction Railway Station car park. (Parking is available via the RingGo app.) In the morning we’ll have an al-fresco coffee stop in the woods. Later we take lunch at Effingham village with a choice of a friendly country pub or, in good weather, a hot food and drinks truck in the car park of the King George V hall, or a picnic in the grounds of the local church.
Distance: 11 miles. Difficulty: Moderate. To book your place call the following by, at least, the evening before and several days if you want a place in the pub: Alan Lander, tel:07736 066638; or Margaret Daborn, tel:07530 811104
