Description:
NOTE THE EARLIER START TIME
Join Jane as she takes us again on this lovely walk from Pwll to visit the Millennium Coastal Park where nature has reclaimed this former industrial area.
N.B. Some of the paths have summer growth so long trousers and good shoes/boots are essential!
We will join the Coastal Path then explore the Ashpits Pond and Pwll Lagoon Nature Reserve.
The Nature Reserve is an important area for breeding wetland birds with as many as 131 species recorded within a 5-mile radius.
We will then follow the old tramway road which dates back to 1882 and Jane will tell us about some of its history.
Re-joining the coastal path, we continue to Burry Port Lighthouse where we will have a short break to take in the stunning views of Pembrey Harbour and Gower.
N.B. Please bring a torch as we may return at dusk.
