We are the Kensington, Chelsea and Westminster Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Pre-registration preferred but not essential**
Moderate to brisk paced 18.25 km/11.3 mile walk with 260m/853ft ascent. About 4.5 hours net walking.
Ancient woodlands, low hills and riverside paths in the Darent valley, a bit north of the usual Shoreham and Otford walks.
Lunch Stop: Farningham - pub lunch (Lion or Pied Bull) or picnic.
Tea in Eynsford: three pubs, 10 mins from the station.
Meet at Eynsford Station at 11.11.
Travel: Blackfriars 10.16 - Thameslink Sevenoaks train - direct stopping train via Elephant&Castle/Peckham Rye/Bromley South/Swanley arr 11.11. Or 10.29 Maidstone train from Charing X/Waterloo/Lon Bridge changing at Swanley.
Ticket/Fare: Buy Off-Peak Day Return to Eynsford. Freedom Pass holders buy from Swanley.
Finish: Eynsford Station - trains at xx.05 and xx.35, most likely train: 16.35.
