A circular walk through the varied terrain of Forvie NNR. We head south across desolate Forvie moor, along the Ythan estuary (where waders and eider ducks often congregate) and then through the dunes to return via the beach (where seals may be seen), the remains of the old Forvie kirk and the scenic clifftop path past Hackley Bay to the Sand Loch. The walk is on moorland paths, which may be very boggy in places, tracks, sand dunes and beach. There is one small burn crossing. The route of the walk may change depending on the weather conditions.
Booking is essential. Please contact the walk leader Sandra using the email link provided to book, or if you have any questions, by the Thursday evening prior to the walk. Please provide a contact telephone number. Confirmation of your booking is required for attendance. It is essential for the walk leader to know who is coming on the walk and to be able to contact people should there be any changes. Please remember to contact the walk leader if you are no longer able to attend.
