Walking in and around Inverurie
We are one of four Ramblers groups in the Grampian Area. We are a small friendly group with less than 50 members and usually offer a walk every other Sunday, mainly through the stunning and varied landscape of Aberdeenshire and sometimes in the neighbouring counties of Moray and Angus.
You’ll experience great views, fun, exhilaration and good company. You are warmly welcome to join us for a walk or two before becoming a member of the Ramblers. All our walks are guided by a walk leader.
Our walks
We typically walk 7 – 10 miles with a few longer and more challenging walks in the Summer when the weather and longer days allow this.
Booking is required for all our walks. This provides an opportunity for you to getmore information about the walk and ensures the walk leader can get in touch in the event of changes.
The walk listing will provide contact details for the walk leader, a description of the walk so you know what to expect, and details of what to bring so you are properly prepared for the day. All our walks are carried out in line with the Ramblers Coronavirus guidance.
The start time shown in the walk listing is the departure time, so make sure you arrive at the suggested meet up time so you are booted up and ready to go. If you are unsure whether a walk is appropriate for you, take a look at our guide to walk grading and speak to the walk leaser. Rest assured we will never leave anyone behind and will always walk at the pace of the slowest walker.
As a member you’ll be invited to join our social events and we also occasionally organise weekends away.
