A varied walk across open moorland, Devon countryside and alongside a peaceful reservoir. We’ll head across the open moorland of Chagford Common before leaving the moor to walk along the Two Moors and Mariners Way through Devon hamlets. From Frenchbeer Rock we’ll rejoin the moor to walk to Middle Tor and Thornworthy Tor before returning via Fernworthy Reservoir. Fabulous views if weather is clear. We’ll be stopping for coffee and later a lunch break so bring drinks and food. A lot of the route is on exposed moorland with no shade so bring plenty of water, hat, sunscreen etc in view of weather forecast.
Open moorland with some paths and tracks, some ups and downs (one ascent is a bit steep but short lived), stream crossing, boggy patch and several stiles.
