Overview

A gentle, leisurely walk from the pretty village of Pirbright, skirting Brookwood Cemetery (the Paupers' Section) and through to the Fox Corner Wildlife Area where we may encounter a heron, ducks or even a deer.  From there we'll cross Bullswater Common, a heathland area of Special Scientific Interest.  The nightjars will probably have migrated by then, but we could see stonechats, a Dartford Warbler or a woodlark.  Goats and Icelandic ponies are kept in these areas to preserve the heathland habitat.  We'll then go through Pirbright Common and retrace our steps to Pirbright along Chapel Lane.

If the weather has been wet, it could be muddy underfoot.  Please don't forget to bring your ICE (In Case of Emergency) cards with you.
