We head north out of the capital and into rural Hertfordshire, taking in a pleasant park, the New River, nature reserves as well as woods and fields. Ancient Rome calls as we stride along Ermine Street before the mysteriously named Morgan's Walk takes us to the history-packed county town of Hertford.
