This walk is designed to let people try a faster pace without fear of being left behind. Everyone walks the same first 10 miles over the Seven Sisters towards Exceat, where we will have a lunch stop, this group will then complete a longer walk over hilly sections of the South Downs.
The full route is 24 miles and finishes in Lewes. It will be possible to drop out at around 20 miles (either Glynde or Southease, TBC), this may involve a short section without a leader but it is a very clear path. In the event of very poor weather this may be the whole group plan!
Everyone is encouraged to join at Lewes for drinks, food and socialising.
To complete a 10 mile route, catch a bus at Exceat. To walk a 14 mile or 17 mile route, wait at Exceat to be picked up by another group - see the other walk listings.
Terrain: Chalk downs, very hilly.
Travel: Take 8:54 from London Victoria (9:01 Clapham Junction, 9:10 East Croydon), arr. Eastbourne 10:17. Buy return to Eastbourne. An additional single to Lewes will be required if dropping out early.
