We are the West Berkshire Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.

We start our walk at the Wilton Windmill walking through Bedwyn Brail to the Kennet and Avon Canal where we turn east towards Great Bedwyn. After walking through this village we head north through woodland to the hamlet of Chisbury. From here we head south west walking through Bedwyn Common to visit St Katherine's church on the southern edge of Savenake forest. We then retrace our steps a short way walking through Stock Common and Boxham Copse to meet the canal again at Crofton. We then walk west along the canal circling back to the village of Wilton and then climb the hill out of the village (passing the Emu's) and return to the windmill.
The going maybe muddy in places and the long grass, in various places, wet if it has rained

Parking is available in the layby on the lane opposite the main gates to Wilton Windmill site. Please meet in the car park.
