Leaving the Fieldgate Centre we will walk through the town and join the Brenda Parker Way to the A339 crossing then on to Harridens Great Copse and Watchbury Copse. We turn westwards to Waits Farm and recross the A339 to Cottismore Farm and on to Southwood Copse; we then rejoin the BPW for a short distance to find our way past Frobury Park Copse and, at Porch Farm, turn eastwards to return to the start.
The route is a mixture of open fields and woodland in gentle rolling countryside.
There are 2 stiles and the ground can be very muddy if there has been an extensive period of rain. No problem at the end of July, then!
