This walk is a change from the previous Greenfield walk advertised.
A moderate approx 8 mile walk with a fair amount of climbing, rewarded with lovely views over Dovestones reservoir, the Chew Valley and the surrounding hills and moors. We will be climbing around 500 metres overall up to the war memorial obelisk and nearby hills (Alderman's Hill is 440 metres) and our descent is approximately the same. We will be trying to avoid the busiest paths around Dovestones reservoir and will not be passing near the car park or toilets.

The majority of paths are well defined and composed of mud or sand covered with stones. There will be a small amount of road walking involved. The route may be changed slightly if there is heavy rain.

Not suitable for dogs, other than registered assistance dogs.
