Overview

While gentler than the Kentmere Horseshoe on Saturday, this will still be a tough day made harder by tired legs. The final route will be determined by the weather, group aims and progress. We reserve the right to change the objective for the day entirely if a shorter walk is more appropriate for the group.

Starting from the beautiful village of Hartsop in Patterdale, this is a superb Lakeland ridge walk taking in four Wainwrights. The views of Red Screes, Dove Crag, Fairfield and St Sunday Crag are among the best mountain views in the Lake District, while Windermere dominates the vista to the south.
