A good proportion of this level walk is on a firm surface, making this ideal for winter.
We walk on tracks around the fishing lake in Haysden Country Park, and then make our way over grassy paths to Haysden Water, where sailing boats can sometimes be seen.
Then we continue on good tracks along the Eden Valley path. There is a short road stretch, and then the return leg through fields (can sometimes be muddy).
Although it is a fairly flat walk, sticks will be useful for the possibly muddy fields.
Note the later start time.
