Overview

This is a circular walk around the Maldon District of the areas of Heybridge Basin and Goldhanger.  The walk takes in views of the River Blackwater, Northey and Osea Island. 

Walking boots / shoes are recommended.  There will be a lunch stop, so please bring a packed lunch.   There will also be the option of a pub stop at the end. 

The group walk at a steady pace of 2 – 2.5 miles an hour, and there is requirement of all walkers to respect the general pace.

 

Numbers are strictly limited and places need to be prebooked with the walk leader.

Meeting point is at the Daisy Meadow car park in Heybridge Basin, Basin Road, CM9 4PZ. Car parking fees are £5 for the day. Payment is via machine or the RingGo app. There is some off road parking, but this has various restrictions . Please meet 15 mins before the start time.
