A circular walk passing through a few of Brentwood's woods and incorporating a guided visit to St Mary's Church, Great Warley with its unique Art Nouveau interior. There will be an opportunity for a walk around Warley Place which is an Essex Wildlife Trust nature reserve, once the home of the horticulturalist, Ellen Willmott where we will stop for lunch.
Aim to meet at 10.15 am for a 10.30 am start. Bring packed lunch or there is a pub alternative but can't predict food waiting times. Lunch will be around 1.45 so snacks might be advisable to keep you going. The ground should be firm but there may be a few overgrown areas so long trousers are advisable. The walk should finish back at the start at around 4 pm.
