Overview

A walk across the vast area of moorland between Burley and Bransgore starting from the Holmsley Walk Car Park near the Holmsley Caravan and Camp Site off Forest Road, Bransgore. After a traverse of Holmsley Inclosure, it is across Holmsley Ridge, Burbush Hill, to Long Pond and back via Dur Hill Down and through Devils Den. Bring something for the Drink Stop near Greenberry Bridge and a picnic overlooking Crane Moor. Just one stile.

To get to the start go down the A31 to Picket Post, take turn off for Burley and in the centre of the village at the war memorial fork right. Leaving Burley behind open moorland is crossed. Take first left (Forest Road) and in 3/4 of a mile fork first left into the car park.
